Back to Malaysia

On 3rd July 2009, 2135 (GMT +8), I reached KLIA. Well, nothing very special. My parents keep remind me to wear mask when coming back. So when we reached Moscow airport, we found out that we are the only foriengers who are wearing. Ok that's fine cause there is only a small amount of people infected by H1N1 in Russia. When we reached Dubai airport, there were only a few out of hundreds or even thousands who are wearing mask, and in KLIA there is slightly more people wearing mask. I thought they will be many medical staffs and guards who will perform the checking for H1N1, but it turned out that we just need to pass up the forms that we filled up in the airplane. No wonder many H1N1 carriers bring the viruses to Malaysia.

Well, forgot about H1N1. Suffering from jet lag now. But it is weird that I didn't experience jet lag when going to Russia. Due to this jet lag, I can't sleep properly, until 5.00 am I am still awake ><. When I was coming back I worry that I am not able to find a healthy church in Petaling Jaya (there is healthy church, but never a perfect church, cause we are all sinners, dead in the transgression of sin). But thank God that I found a church soon through the net. The good news is that it fulfills the requirements to be a healthy church: their statement of faith is very biblical, having other activities other than Sunday services such as bible studies, youth and senior groups, etc. Another thing is that it located very near my house. But all these things are just stated on their homepage, the most important is whether they really apply it.

So today Sunday morning I went to have a look for myself. It is stated that the service start from 9.00 to 10.30am, but when I reached there at 8.55am, the praise and worship almost end, but I managed to have the Holy Communion. Later I found out that the service actually start at 8.30am, that means they didn't update their homepage =_=. The place is very huge, and there is few hundreds or even thousands of people. The most impressive is their sound system and projector, it makes me feel that what I do inmy church is just nothing as great as them, but I realised that they don't know a better trick to do the power point presentation (actually most of the people don't know).

When we are taking the communion, I found out that their believes is biblical, e.g. what is the meaning of Holy Communion (aka the Lord Supper), what is salvation, what is sin, etc. But like what my pastor and brothers said, not everyone in a church is a believer, cause I notice some people didn't take the communion (because only believer takes the communion). After greeting and some announcements, a pastor comes out to the stage and start to preach about discipline from 2 Timothy 2:3-6. I was quite enjoying with the beginning of the sermon or preaching, because he preached expositionally, like what my pastor did. He explained what is discipline, the paraphases of soldier, athlete, and farmer used by Paul (1 and 2 Timothy is written by Paul to a young pastor called Timothy). He also talked about distraction by using example of Peter walking toward Jesus on water.

But...... as the sermon is going on, I realised something. He rarely quotes verses from the Bible except those I mentioned above. Instead, he like to quoted more from other sources. He jokes a bit throughout the sermon so that it won't be so boring, but later he jokes more and more rather that explaining the Scriptures. The congregation keep laughing, but I didn't feel quite nice about it. The thing that annoyed me the most is that at the last part of the sermon he talks about marriage vow, which is not so relevent with the theme discipline. This is just what I feel and think only, but honestly the whole service is quite good, cause at least they didn't preach false teaching.

Btw, I personally not use to such a big church with such huge number of people, because my church in Volgograd is just a small local church with the amount of only less than 40 people ><. I feel kind of sad because even though there is so many people there, I don't know anyone of them, and after service usually all the people went off =(.

Anyway, the future plan of my holiday:
  1. [x] Find a local church.
  2. [x] Apply for a new IC and ATM card since I lost my wallet.
  3. [x] Meet up with Madam Penny to pass something to her.
  4. [/] Meet up with my friends and maybe my Chinese teacher.
  5. [x] Go to Kamal bookstore to buy some medical books.
  6. [/] Study my russian, Microbiology, Philosophy, and Internal Diseases.
  7. [x] Going back to Sibu to visit my relatives.
  8. [/] Do some sports
  9. [/] If God allows, I might meet up with my brothers and sisters.
  10. [/] Almost forgot one more thing, do that stupid computer objective questions.

[-] Not yet start [/] Doing half way [x] Done

Before I finish this blog, here is a verse for my seniors who have graduated and also my friends:
Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. (2 Corinthians 13:11)
